At Quinn Clinics, we offer a private minor skin surgery service in our dedicated minor operating suite, providing patients with access to a range of outpatient procedures to diagnose and treat common skin conditions and concerns.
These services are offered by Mr Jonathon Pleat, a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with over 30 yrs of NHS experience, specialising in scarring, burns, skin cancer, and reconstructive needs.
He offers assessment and treatment for a wide range of skin conditions and concerns, including:
- Mole removal and mole
assessment - Cysts and lipomas
- Skin lesions and benign subcutaneous lesions
- Keloid scars
- Scar assessment, treatment, and
prevention - Skin cancer assessment and treatment
- Burn assessment and treatment
Procedures are typically quick, performed under local anaesthesia, and involve minimal downtime.

New patient consultation (one hour) - £200
Follow-up appointment (20 minutes) - £75
- Skin mole surveillance consultation (one hour) - from £260
- Corticosteroid injection - from £250
- Surgical scar revision - from £500 to £3700 dependent upon complexity
- Scar laser resurfacing - from £400 per single session / £2,200 for six sessions
- Keloid scar debulking - from £800 - £1500
Non-scar laser treatment (e.g. skin lesion ablation) - from £400 per single session / £1100 for three sessions - Skin lesion excision and subsequent scar treatment - from £500 - £1500
- Minor skin lesion procedures (e.g., shave biopsy)- from £300 - £800
Subcutaneous lesion (e.g. cysts and lipomas) surgery and subsequent scar treatment - from £800 - £1500

Mr Jonathon Pleat

Mr Jonathan Pleat is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Quinn Clinics, Bristol, with a special interest in the assessment and treatment of scarring, burns, skin cancer, and reconstructive surgery. He trained at Oxford University and has worked in leading plastic surgery centres across the UK and internationally.
Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in research and education, helping to improve the understanding and treatment of scars and skin conditions.
Mr Pleat offers expert, compassionate care, including the assessment and treatment of moles, skin lesions, and both cancerous and non-cancerous skin concerns.

Skin surgery procedures take place at our minor operating theatre at Quinn Clinics in Redland, Bristol.
How long do treatments take?
Including a full consultation, many of our procedures take under an hour. We can often offer treatment straightaway.
Will it hurt?
No, we use a local anaesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout.
What about recovery/downtime?
Guidelines vary depending on the procedure carried out and also take into account where on the face/body this occurred. You'll be given full information prior to any procedure taking place, so that you can plan accordingly and proceed fully aware of any aftercare implications.
